Technical Certificate: Black Medium Density Polyethylene Compound for Pressure Pipes PE80

All Irrifrance PE coils are manufactured at the Paulhan site.

IRRIFRANCE polyethylene coils are made exclusively from polyethylene composite, material classification MRS 8.0 (PE80). This is a high-performance, black, hexene-based compound designed for drinking water and gas pipeline applications. Key characteristics include:

Superior resistance to slow crack growth, ensuring safe and long-term network operation;
an optimal balance of flexibility and mechanical strength, allowing for easy coiling, handling, and installation of the pipes;
an optimized formulation of additives and finely dispersed carbon black, offering exceptional long-term service stability. Designation ISO 1872-PE, E/M-ACGHL, 40-T012;
excellent extrudability; and
high flexibility and adaptability.

Applications

PE 80 or PE 100 is recommended for pressurized piping systems in accordance with the following European and DIN standards:
– NF EN 12324-2 Specification of polyethylene hose reels
– DIN 8074 PE 80 and PE 100 polyethylene hoses: dimensions
– DIN 8075 PE 80 and PE 100 polyethylene hoses: quality requirements, testing

Storage space

– The storage area must be free of any stones or objects that could damage the tube.
– Do not store the coils at a height greater than 2 meters to prevent permanent deformation of the tube.
– Store away from heat sources.

Security

The product is not classified as dangerous.

Recycling

The product is suitable for recycling using modern shredding and cleaning methods.
